Terms of Use — Med Device PM Academy

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of learn.meddeviceacademy.co.uk (the "Site") and the Med Device PM Academy courses, community and related content (together, the "Services"), provided by Med Dev Services Ltd ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, enrolling, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Our platform is hosted by Thinkific. Payments are processed by Thinkific Payments / Stripe.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- The PM Academy is intended for professionals aged 18 or over. By registering, you confirm you are at least 18.
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
- Please tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Purchases, pricing and payment
- Prices for the PM Academy and related products are shown on the Site in £ GBP. The current introductory individual price is £499 excluding VAT.
- Any introductory or promotional pricing (for example, a launch price for the first enrolments) is available only while advertised and may change afterwards.
- Payment is taken at the time of purchase through our payment provider. You must have the right to use the payment method you provide.
- We will send you an order confirmation and receipt by email.
- Organisation plans (Team Access, Company Licence, Custom Academy) are provided under a separate quote or order confirmation, which forms part of these Terms.
4. Access and licence to content
- On successful payment, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the course content you have purchased for the access period stated at purchase (currently 12 months for individual enrolment), for your own professional learning.
- Access is for the named account holder only. Organisation plans permit access for the stated number of named participants only.
- You may download resources that we make available for download, for your own personal use.
5. What you may not do
You agree not to:
- share, resell, sub-licence, or give others access to your account or the course content;
- copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display or create derivative works from the content, except as expressly permitted;
- record, screen-capture or redistribute videos, audio or materials;
- use the Services unlawfully, or in a way that harms the Site, other users, or us;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services.
Breaching this section may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
6. Intellectual property
All course content, materials, text, graphics, audio, video, branding and the structure of the PM Academy are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any content to you.
7. Community guidelines
If you take part in the PM Academy Community, you agree to be respectful and professional, not to post unlawful, offensive or infringing content, and not to share other members' information without permission. We may remove content or remove members who breach these guidelines.
8. Refunds and cancellations
- Your legal right to cancel: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer you normally have 14 days from purchase to cancel and receive a refund.
- Digital content exception: Because the PM Academy is digital content available immediately, by enrolling and starting the course you agree that access begins straight away and you acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once you have started accessing the content.
- Our refund policy: If you have not accessed any course content, you may request a full refund within 14 days by emailing [email protected]. We may, at our discretion, offer a refund within 14 days where less than 10% of the course has been completed.
- Organisation plans and custom packages are non-refundable once work or access has commenced, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method within [14] days of approval.
9. Availability and changes to the Services
- We aim to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may carry out maintenance or updates.
- We may add to, update or improve course content during your access period. We may also withdraw content, but we will not remove core content you have paid for during your paid access period without providing reasonable alternative access, except where required for legal or licensing reasons.
10. Disclaimer
The PM Academy provides professional education and general information. It does not constitute regulatory, legal, financial or clinical advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice specific to your circumstances. While we take care to ensure content is accurate and current, we make no warranty that it is complete, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
11. Our liability
- Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
- Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of business arising from your use of the Services.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the relevant product.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, particularly Sections 5 or 7. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections relating to intellectual property, liability and refunds survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
